High-Style Western
The Firebrand hotel in Whitefish, Montana embodies the rugged spirit of the American West through its architecture and design. Drawing inspiration from the town's frontier roots, the hotel features a rustic-chic style that mixes industrial and natural elements like raw steel, reclaimed wood, and bison skulls. The lobby makes a dramatic first impression with its towering fireplace made of salvaged barn beams. Guest rooms continue the warm, earthy aesthetic with denim headboards and brushed steel accents. Throughout the property, custom details subtly reference Whitefish's railroading and ranching history. The overall look aims to feel relaxed yet cosmopolitan - a place where locals and visitors alike feel equally at home. Feedback from Whitefish residents indicates the design team succeeded in capturing the essence of their community.

The Firebrand is brick-and-masonry masculine; the interiors are a unique mix of cowboy rustic and contemporary chic. “Cosmopolitan,” says Colton Maritni, who created the hotel’s interiors. “But also a place where you can walk into the lobby in your cowboy boots or your ski boots…and feel comfortable.”
